What does the fire door’s classification mean – for example, the BD60 certification?
BD60 refers to a specific classification of fire doors and is part of a standard used across Scandinavia. BD is an abbreviation for fire resistance, and “60” refers to the time (in minutes) that the door can withstand a fire without allowing the penetration of fire or smoke that can be harmful to people. This is important to prevent fire spreading to other areas.
Thus, a fire door with the BD60 certification is designed to resist fire for 60 minutes, both by preventing the penetration of flames and hot gases and by limiting heat transfer.
The same applies to the European standards Ei30 and Ei60. Our doors are certified to either Scandinavian or European standards.
What is the difference between BD30 and BD60 certification when it comes to interior fire doors?
When talking about interior doors used to create a fire-resistant solution, BD30 and BD60 refer to the time (in minutes) that the door can withstand a fire and still maintain its structural integrity and insulation performance.
BD30 fire doors are designed to resist fire for up to 30 minutes, while BD60 fire doors are designed to resist fire for up to 60 minutes.
This means that BD60 doors provide twice as much fire protection time as BD30 doors. It is important to note that the choice between a door door and a door door depends on the specific building’s fire safety requirements and local fire regulations.

If you want the flush door to function as a fire, sound or security door, you can add these functions without affecting the design of the door. This way, the door can look and function the way you want it to without compromising on function or expression.
Our flush doors are available as:
Fire door: EI30, EI60
Acoustic door: 30dB, 35dB
Security door: As EN
This means that all functional needs are covered without compromising the look of the door.
