In 2015, BESTSELLER built a new office building at Aarhus harbor. The building overlooks the city on one side and the sea on the other.

The top of the fire door emphasizes the height of the room
The fire doors have an oak surface that continues in the top section. The top section creates the illusion that the door goes all the way to the ceiling, giving a great visual impact. With the top section, the door emphasizes the height of the room, making the look bigger and more opulent.
Working with the architect, we found the right balance between function and feel. In this case, there were some safety requirements the door had to meet before it could be approved as a fire door. At the same time, it was important that the door to the meeting room could be closed to avoid disturbing the rest of the office.
Interior doors spread warmth in the raw environment
The doors are made as fire doors with concealed hinges and door pumps, commonly known as doorstops, to keep the look as clean as possible. The interior doors contrast nicely with the raw concrete wall and add a warm texture that softens an otherwise harsh interior. The door becomes an architectural element in the building.
