Produced like the old doors from the 1920s.
When the Royal Kitchens at Christiansborg Palace was being renovated, it was simultaneously transformed into a museum for the enjoyment of the many tourists visiting the palace.
The vision of the renovation was to recreate the banquet kitchen and showcase the vast collection of royal copperware. Vahle contributed a replica of the original doors.

Panel doors with square cut-outs
The kitchen’s internal doors needed to be upgraded to meet strict fire safety requirements. Vahle developed an exact replica of the original 1920s white doors with square cut-outs that also meets current fire safety requirements.
In the best quality craftsmanship, the panel doors are delivered with integrated door pumps to preserve the architectural expression.

Copper kitchen ware displayed in original frames
They wanted to convey the atmosphere of 1926 so that the huge collection of royal copper kitchen ware could be displayed in as original a setting as possible.
Architect Mette Kyed from The Agency for Culture and Palaces, which is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the castle, explains that the design of the kitchen focuses primarily on light, sound and, not least, the smell of the delicacies of the time.
